Reviews
The best tire shop by far. I had a screw in my tire and not only they fixed it right away, they did not charge me a single dime. It was a fantastic experience. This location will be my go to place from now on. Thank you for your superb service.
I recently visited KalTire for my switch to winter tires and was thoroughly impressed! The staff were professional, and the service was quick and efficient. They estimated the time perfectly and handled my vehicle with great care. I’m really satisfied with the outcome and highly recommend this location for anyone needing tire services. Thank you for your service guys!
We have a Toyota Camry and a Honda Civc. We want to use the 16" winter tire with steel rims from the Civic on the Camry which has 17" wheels. We are not sure if the steel rims would fit on the Camry so we brought the Camry and the steel rims to Kal Tire to see if the staff over there can give us some insights.
After we explained why we were there, the guy kept on telling us we should ask the seller of the steel rims if they will fit on the Camry after we repeatedly told him there is no seller. He then told us that he was taught that putting on same size or larger wheel is ok but not downsizing. If our car has 17" wheel, we should only put 17" or bigger wheels on the car but not 16".
The guy has very poor knowledge on wheels and tires and gave wrong advice. It is absolutely ok to downsize your wheel. We just want to know if center bore, offset, and bolt pattern of the Civic wheel will fit on the Camry but the guy did not even bother to take a look at the wheel. Not recommending anyone to come to this location for their tire/wheel needs.
Very very very happy! I got a large nail stuck in my tire and she was totally flat. They didn’t charge me anything! First time going there, so they said it was fully covered this time!
Thank you!!!!!
I had the crew at KalTire help me and my wife's vehicles now for 20 plus years. Loyalty pays off as I've lost count how many times in between new tire purchases I walked away with complimentary repairs. Nice to be looked after and have KT in your Rolodex
Total incompetence from start to finish. I honestly can’t believe how this scenario played out lol.. like.. this is crazy..
The TLDR version:
-Requested Kal do very basic work on 4 tires
-Get charged $200 for a bunch of work that wasn’t even done
-Kal doesn’t even know what was done on the tires they charged me for
-After requesting work done a 5th time it still wasn’t done
-Released all 4 tires back to me without checking air pressure/road worthiness
Detailed:
The day before dropping off my 4 tires I called in to confirm what I needed done (valve stems, TPMS sensor, and a nail pulled) they said absolutely no problem bring them in
Dropped off 4 rims with Michelin x-ice tires on Saturday nov 1st, wheeled then into the showroom, dealt with a woman who “only works Saturdays” I reiterated THREE times please replace 4X valve stems, check sensors, check the tires in general, and pull a nail in the tire marked driver side front as I marked it. I checked the PSI before dropping them off they were all 10-15psi with the one with the mail being completely flat. Before leaving again I got the feeling she did not get this down and said AGAIN please do these 3 things, she says computer is down and writes a hand written note for my tires..she says they probably won’t be ready today but probably tomorrow(sunday)
Don’t hear anything until Wednesday when I phone in myself, whoever picks up the phone says yes, your “two tires” are ready, I say no it should be 4.. he says ok yes 4
have my dad go pick up the tires who lives closer, the woman at the desk is adamant there are only 2, charges him $180 for 2 valve stem replacements, 2 repairs, 2 TPMS sensors. He tries to call me to confirm there are 4, in in a meeting can’t answer, he goes home with only the two.
I then call Kal, explain the situation, explain all 4 should have been replaced etc. etc. the woman who answers the phone goes into the back, she comes back on the phone and says “she can’t find them” hmm ok.. so you’ve now lost my $1000+ set of rims and tires??… I ask please look again. . She’s back finally says yes they are here.. he can come pick the other two up.. I ask well.. has anything even been done to them? She goes and looks again and comes back on the phone saying “I can’t tell”… I then say please.. I just want this fixed please handle this as originally requested now FIVE times I don’t care about paying for it etc.
Later that day she phones me back.. says it turns out the two in the shop still are fine however she wants me to bring the two my dad picked up BACK to kal on Saturday in order to check the TPMS.. I say really? But fine whatever.. once I hung up the phone however, this was obviously because Kal had -no idea- what was done on the two they released to my dad. Fast forward to Saturday, I go to my parents place to take the tires back.. the two tires he has picked up have had -nothing- done to them.. so he paid $180 and picked up tires in exactly the same shape they were dropped off in, the tire pressure was not even checked.
-go back into Kal, explain the situation once again, they say they are sorry bla bla and offer to book a “future appointment” to fix the two that were picked up/charged for without anything done. I obviously refuse as I cannot wait any longer nor do I feel like dealing with this location any more. They then wheel out the two other wheels they had kept and tell me the TPMS on these are fine and AGAIN they didn’t replace the valve stems as requested lol.. so I then get refunded the original amount due to none of this work even being performed..
I load the other two up into my truck without kal checking the TPMS sensors on the two I had brought in as she requested. I leave and go home and then check the PSI on the two they had “checked and repaired” both had not been checked either and both were 10 PSI off from spec as they were when I originally dropped them off..
I will never go back to Kal tire period based on this experience
Had a flat tire yesterday morning and they got me in right away and got my spare tire on for me (my tire was beyond repair) great service and very appreciated!
We limped into Port Kells the morning of October 6 with our truck and camper tire sensor screaming at us. As soon as we pulled up a staff member came to see what our problem was.
A big shout out to "Jacob" he managed to locate a bent nail that was stuck in through the tread...not easy to find! Andy and his crew are 12/10. Staff that cares about their customers. A big thank you to everyone at Kal Tire.
